We all love the long ride of a point break. Then there is Playa Coco, which has an A-frame beach break (waves left and right) that produces great barrels. This is just for the experienced surfers. Playa Marbella (real name, Frijolar) has black sand. It is not the best place for swimming but the nearby cove, Playa Pitahaya, offers some shelter and the waves are just medium height. This, and Playa Concava below Outlook Mountain are great spots for a walk, a picnic, or to fish. This place is not really on the tourist radar and if you enjoy an empty beach all to yourself and a small town with just enough facilities and community, then this could be a top choice for you. The lack of human population means that the wildlife abounds, there is a lot to see every day.
